It's October now--in fact, late October. And it's time to get out your box of old Halloween costumes from your basement or the back of your closet--or head to the mall and get in a bit of Halloween shopping! Whether you're going trick-or-treating or not, it's always fun to dress up and junk food. Here's a list of some of the best ways to celebrate this fun holiday.
- Trick-or-treating! This fun tradition may be aimed toward the younger crowd, but you can trick-or-treat your way through middle school too. Some of my favorite memories of Halloween were of my friends and I staying up late and then trading candy even later into the night.
- Halloween costume parties! Gathering together with a bunch of friends, eating food, watching scary movies, and dancing away to Thriller is always fun, plus you can do it all the way through high school if you don't want to mix with the trick-or-treating little kids anymore. You can also play fun games and Halloween pranks.
- Sleepovers. Parties are great for a bigger group, but you can also hang with just your BFFs, watch scary movies, tell ghost stories in your sleeping bags with a only a flashlight, and Truth or Dare. For more sleepover ideas, check out the How-To Guide of an Evilly Awesome Sleepover.
- Go to the Halloween dance! I don't know about you, but my school has a Halloween dance where you dress up (usually more for the costume contest) and just dance and eat food and stuff. I know. I'm great at the details. You could just go have fun at the dance and go home whenever you feel like it.
- Go to the movie theater. Sometimes they show a scary movie just for Halloween, and it's fun to go and hang with your besties and get totally freaked out.
I hope this list helped you decide what fun thing to do on Halloween! And remember, if all else fails, go wait for the Great Pumpkin at the pumpkin patch. LOL (see what I did there?). Have a great Halloween!
