Got a trouble besides fashion, friends, family, or love? Here's the place to ask! It could be school (everyone has problems at school, anyone heard of that famous middle and high school homework overload?), it could be bullying (so not cool), it could be the fact that you're terrible at some sport and want to quit but the friends who got you into it in the first place might hate you for leaving (I know, that's a very long example, but it can happen), it could be some other thing that we haven't covered here. Whatever it is, I'll do my best to help you out!

Today's Other question comes from School Scare, who writes:
Dear Princess Know-It-All,
I'm starting middle school at a new school this fall and I'm terrified I won't have any friends! I'm really shy and only just moved here, so I'm even more shy and uncertain than usual. I'm afraid I'm going to make a fool out of myself on the first day of school when I don't have anywhere to sit at lunch, or if I don't get to class on time because I can't find the classroom!

From Princess Know-It-All:
Dear School Scare,
I can totally understand why you're scared. A new school? Middle school? A whole new place? I would be nervous too! But here's the thing. There are probably others who feel just as terrified and shy as you do right now, and there will be others who have been living in this place for their whole lives and have tons of friends but will always open up their circles and make room for you. No matter what, there will be people around to support you on that tough first day, even if they're teachers.
What's one thing you can do to make friends? Join in after school activities! This is probably the best way to make friends, because you'll be hanging out with people who like to do the same things that you do. And here's another. That first day of school lunch you're worried about might seen scary, but actually the first day is when everyone is establishing where they'll sit and who they'll sit with, and they'll be much more open to you walking up to them and saying, "Hi, can I sit here?" As you start to get to know people in your classes, you'll find yourself becoming more outgoing and getting to know others better.
Also, in the beginning of the school year, teachers are much more understanding about new students struggling to find their way around. They won't mark you late unless they're really strict (which usually doesn't happen). And if you can't find the classroom, go ahead and ask another student or a hallway monitor! There will be lots of people there to help you. So it might feel like a tough first day, but you'll make it through and eventually you'll build your confidence and make lots of new friends! Good luck with the school year!
